Delete your account
You can delete your Variare account and its data at any time. There are two ways, and the first one is immediate.
1. In the app — immediate
If you can still sign in, this is the fastest and the most certain route, because the app already knows who you are:
- Open Variare and sign in.
- Go to the You tab, then Settings.
- Choose Delete account and confirm twice.
- When asked, sign in again — with Google on Android, or with Apple on iOS. This proves the account is yours; nothing is deleted until you do.
The deletion happens straight away once you have signed in again. You are signed out on every device and the account cannot be restored. If you signed in with Apple, Variare first asks Apple to end Variare’s access to your Apple ID, and only then deletes your account; if Apple cannot be reached, nothing is deleted and you can try again.
If your account uses both Google and Apple sign-in, Apple has to confirm the deletion, so delete it from Variare on your iPhone or iPad. If you try on Android, nothing is changed.
If the app cannot ask you to sign in again for your account, use the form below instead.
2. From here — if you cannot sign in
If you have uninstalled the app, lost access to your account, or simply prefer not to sign in again, ask here instead. We will confirm that the address belongs to the account before anything is deleted — otherwise anyone could delete anyone else’s account by typing their address. We handle each request within 30 days.
A request sent from here cannot end Variare’s access to your Apple ID, because only the in-app flow can ask Apple to do that. After your account is deleted you can remove Variare yourself from the apps listed under Sign in with Apple in your Apple Account settings.

What gets deleted
- Your account and sign-in.
- Your profile and travel preferences.
- Your trips, and everything in them — places, days, route legs, bookings, packing lists and saved items.
- Your notification settings and any device registrations.
- Feedback you sent from inside the app.
- Your Trip Pass balance. Unused Trip Passes are lost and do not carry over to a new account. On iOS, we also ask RevenueCat to delete its record of you.
What is kept, and why
- Usage statistics, with you removed from them. The identifiers that could tie an event back to you or your device are destroyed; the anonymous record that a screen was opened remains. It cannot be reconnected to you afterwards.
- Records of purchases and refunds, with you removed from them. The record of each purchase (the store, the store’s transaction identifier, the product, the quantity and the time) and of each refund a store reports are kept — identified only by the store’s own transaction identifier, with your account removed from them — so the same purchase cannot be credited again to another account. They are kept without a time limit, because the store’s transaction identifier never expires. The store you bought from (Google Play or the App Store) keeps its own purchase records under its own policies; Variare does not hold or control those.
- A message you sent through the forms on this website — including a deletion request itself — is kept so we can answer you and as a record that you asked. Ask through Support if you want it deleted afterwards.
